The eyes of Fred Couples don't miss much.

Fred Couples, a 1992 Masters Champion, one of the PGA Tour's most popular players and overall ambassador of the game, has worked in concert with internationally renowned golf course designer Gene Bates for over a decade, fashioning premiere golf courses around the world. Now they brought their considerable talents to the Okanagan golf course property at The Rise.

A Signature Course is more than just a name. Fred Couples and Gene Bates were a key part of the decision-making team at major points of construction. Gene’s role was ‘team captain’ as well as golf course designer. Upon completion of the routing plan, Gene worked with the team to develop a tournament-quality yet player-friendly golf course. Details like the design and location of the teeing area and the organic shape and placement of bunkers elevates the playing experience to international standards.

The Golf Club at The Rise was constructed by Ian Renton, one of North America's most respected golf course builders, whose accomplishments include Greywolf Golf Course in Panorama, British Columbia. At The Rise, Ian’s team worked with the land, allowing natural features to shape the experience, and created a course which, from the first round played, feels like it has always been here.
